As mentioned before, Estee Lauder Double Wear is my holy grail, but at £30 a bottle I need to use a more budget friendly foundation on my day to day life. Being a uni student is hard. And waking up and trying to get completely dressed and organised in 20 minutes never ends well. So I need a foundation that not only offers me enough coverage to cover them dark circles but something incredibly long lasting too.

In comes L’Oreal Paris Infallible Total Cover Foundation only £9.99 in Boots. The simple and sleek black packaging is standard; however, I do prefer a squeezey type bottle as this helps control how much product you are using. My skin match was perfect. The colours were a mix of browns, yellows and pinks which created the perfect light olive colour.

As I placed dots of foundation on my face, the formula reminded me of Maybelline’s Dream Matte Mouse. The texture is similar; however, I feel the mouse is much lighter.

The product is light on the skin which really sets the foundation apart from others as most high coverage foundations are often heavy and paint-like. A little foundation goes along way with this one! The foundation sets to a soft, matte powder finish and completely removes redness from the skin. The foundation did however become cakey around the nose area and began to extenuate my pores, even though I thoroughly moisturised and primed before application. Towards the end of the day, the foundation had oxidised and created a slight orange tinge.

The foundation is good for every day work when you need something inexpensive but with great coverage. Every foundation has its faults and this one has very very few. For the price I personally feel as if this is the best on the market.

Overall rating 8/10.
